AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): 200 Palestinians from Jenin governorate, northern West Bank, were arrested by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the first quarter of 2022, half of them arrested last March, the Palestinian prisoner society said on Saturday.
“The IOF intensified its arrest campaigns in a number of towns and Jenin refugee camp and arrested Palestinians in the age category 18 to 35,” the society underlined in a press statement, adding that most of the detainees were assaulted on their arrest.
About 4,500 Palestinian prisoners are held in Israeli prisons, distributed among 23 Israeli prisons and detention centers. They are systematically subjected to abuse, violations, and brutal attacks, according to institutions concerned with prisoners’ affairs.
